Remember Why You Love Spiced Rum

Throughout the upper Midwest, and especially here in Wisconsin, it’s no secret that we have a bit of a sweet tooth when it comes to our liquors. While we can’t deny the supper club staple of a good brandy old-fashioned, one of our favorite spirits by far is spiced rum!

If you didn’t know, Captain Morgan is the best-selling spirit in all of Wisconsin. Minnesota’s favorite: Fireball.

So of course, when we decided to launch Northern Oasis Spirits, we had to lead with Riverbank Spiced Rum and Lone Duck Cinnamon Whiskey. These are flavors beloved throughout the Midwest, after all. We have so many fond memories of finding out how far we could push spiced rum with pineapple and lime, or just celebrating with friends and shot after shot of cinnamon whiskey.

It’s that spirit of exploration, where every possibility is on the table and anything goes, that makes it so much fun when you first start to enjoy all the different spirits out there. Of course, the best part about starting your own spirit company is you can capture everything you love about your favorite spiced rum and cinnamon whiskey—and then make them both so much better! 

Our all-natural, handcrafted spirits are specifically designed to be smooth enough to pair with as many flavors as possible. They add their own slightly sweet and spicy character without overpowering your drink, while still being tasty enough to sip on their own. We like to think of our spirits as strong enough to get the job done, but still with that classic Midwestern politeness. 😉

RIVERBANK BLUSH

1  1/2 oz. Riverbank Spiced Rum
2  1/2 oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice
Splash of Cranberry Juice
Build in a tub glass over ice.
Garnish with cherry.

And allow us to sweeten your experience further with:

QUACKER’S DELIGHT

1  1/2  oz. Lone Duck Cinnamon Whiskey
2 oz. Huberts Blackberry Lemonade
Top w/ Seltzer
3-4 Blackberries
Muddle blackberries in a tub glass. Add ice and remaining ingredients.
Garnish with Blackberries.
