Wisconsin Day-Drinking 101
Here at Northern Oasis Spirits, we appreciate the value of hard work along with the rest and relaxation required to recharge your batteries. Whether you’re ready to leave work behind, catch a glimpse of your rowdy neighbors taking advantage of a day off, or just want to indulge the Wisconsin way, we present you with this highly scientific manual we put together just for you:
Wisconsin Day-Drinking 101: A step-by-step guide to perfecting the art of Day-Drinking
8am: Hair of the Dog
Spike your coffee with some of our signature Lone Duck Cinnamon Whiskey. If you’re still feeling last night’s “one too many,” down a few glasses of water, an aspirin or two to take care of that headache, and you’re ready to go.
9am: Breakfast Food Heals All
You have come back to life, for a short while, and the day has to start sometime! So, make sure to line your stomach with a big hearty Wisconsin breakfast.
10am: Dress for Success
Put on your best (and by that we mean most comfortable) day-drinking attire. This might be a flannel over a cutoff tee with short shorts and high tops. Or if you prefer, a pair of flip flops, swim trunks and a tank top. Oh, and leave the Ray Bans at home unless you’re ready to contribute to a Lost and Found near you.
11am: Wrangling Time
Day-drinking alone: sad. Day-drinking with a crew: epic! Wrangle up your best day-drinking squad for a little pregame action and be sure to mix up some drinks before you head out. Us Wisconsinites may not have perfected the art of sobriety, but we certainly know how to save a buck or two.
12pm: Lakeview Vodka BLOODY MARY o’clock!
The perfect day of drinking starts with the perfect Bloody Mary – no spice, spicy, or bring on the flames – tons of garnishes or just a single olive – however you do it is fine by us so long as you mix it with our perfectly-blended, gluten-free Lakeview Vodka. And don’t forget the chaser!
1pm: Time to get Serious
The sun is shining, the buzz is buzzing, the Northern Oasis Spirits are flowing…and the day has fully commenced! Now it’s time to really get the party started.
2pm: Refuel
Reminder, this is a marathon – not a sprint. Down some water. Snack on some cheese curds. Maybe grab a quick barstool nap (pro tip: if you’re not laying flat, it doesn’t count as passing out!).
3pm: Hydration Check
Some say water is essential for life; we say water is essential for the perfect liquid pick-me-up. Time for a Lakeview Vodka and soda water with lime! Make it a double, you know, for more water…
4pm: Did Someone say Selfies?
Take a Snap of your crew doing their best Shorty the Duck imitation, post every take on your story and forget about it until tomorrow when everyone has already seen it and it’s too late to take it down.
5pm: Duck yeah!
You don’t know what time it is or the name of your last Lyft driver, but you do know you’re having a Ducking good time with the crew!
6pm: Winding up or Winding down – the choice is yours
At about this time it’s bedtime for some while it’s the hour of a second wind for others. Howl at the moon, quack like a duck or fall sleep eating pizza…we don’t care as long as the spirits are high and you’ve had an amazing day with friends! Be sure to recycle all those empty Northern Oasis Spirits bottles before you go to bed, so you don’t have to think about them in the morning. (Pro-tip: you should always have extra bottles hidden in the liquor cabinet in case the party goes longer than expected).
